An historical overview of the development of campus buildings is presented visually in chronological order here.


You will find the first three Concord State Normal Buildings (1875, 1887, 1899), as well as the first dormitory for women (1891), are pictured on the site of the current Athens (High) School. Beginning with the Administration Building in 1912, buildings were developed on the Vermillion Street campus: Old Main (1912), Auditorium (1916), McComas Hall (1922), Dormitory (1922), Gymnasium (1924), Sam Holroyd Hall (1926), President's Home (1932), First Athletic Field (1932), Administratice Officer's Housing and Faculty Housing (1936), Natatorium (1936), Laura Ann Sarvay Hall (1937), John Baker White Hall (1939), Joseph Franklin Marsh Library (1941), Barracks and Trailers Housing (1946), Quonset Huts (1947), Music Building (1947), Home Management Building (1948), Science Hall (1951), Callaghan Stadium (1956), College Courts (1958), Wooddell Hall (1962), Wilson Hall (1962), College Center (1963), Alexander Fine Arts Center (1969), Twin Towers (1969), Witherspoon Park (1970), Centennial Hall (1972), Marsh Memorial Carillon and Tower (1997), and University Point (2010).
